The Club


wineLAIR DC is a private, membership-based wine community in the heart of
D.C.’s bustling West End neighborhood. Our members are a blend of like-minded
people, purveyors, wine aficionados, collectors, and novices eager to evolve and
broaden the wine landscape. We aim to be a gathering place that fosters
community in all forms, a place where people can connect on the ethos that
drives who we are, the experiences we create, and initiatives we join.

As the first stateside venture from the group behind the popular and
innovative wineBANK concept located across Europe in cities such as Frankfurt
and Vienna – this new iteration of the brand will share a similar celebration of
wine at its core. Furthermore, it will offer a unique new approach that is
the first of its kind both for the brand, and for the U.S. market.

Our 358-key luxury lair strikes an artful balance between old-world tradition,
with nods to the regions where winemaking traditions first originated, and
contemporary elements that play up bold elements from new world culture.

Our space offers an intimate and relaxing place for members and their guests
to entertain and relax. The dining area consists of three dining heights and
three high-top tables, with equally comfortable chairs perfect for enjoying
a long, leisurely dinner. Black and gold finishes are predominant throughout the
space, and reflection is used to create textural depth and an air of minimalism.

Inside the wine storage area, clusters of additional tasting tables create a place
to uncork and enjoy bottles straight from member’s lockers.

  • To complement our membership
    experience, we’ve partnered with
    celebrated local chef Ris LaCoste —
    owner of RIS —to curate an exclusive
    food menu for guests and members to
    enjoy alongside their wine.
  • Light snacks, cheese, and charcuterie
    boards will also be available, along with
    select lunch and dinner entree options.
  • wineLAIR DC will also offer a robust
    programming schedule each month,
    which will include masterclasses, wine
    dinners, special wine tastings, winemaker
    dinners, and other high-level events.


Stephane olivier norbert

Stéphane considers himself a multicultural
citizen of the world. He graduated from
Université de Montréal with a Major in
Advertising and a Minor in Graphic Arts.
After a few years in Advertising, he entered
the hospitality industry, where he has since
spent the last 15 years working for several
high-end restaurants and luxury properties.
After spending 20 years based in Austin,
Texas, Stéphane made the decision to
relocate back to the greater D.C. area, which
is where he grew up and spent his formative
years. In this new role, Stéphane is eager to
share his love for wine and hospitality with
the oenophile community here in D.C., and
foster a welcoming, warm environment for
other wine collectors and aficionados.

Ron Weight

Ron, a long-time IT professional, caught
the ‘wine bug’ while living in San Francisco
and having California wine country at his
fingertips! He is now the founder and
operator of one of Austin’s premier
restaurant and wine bars – Uncorked
Tasting Room & Wine Bar – and is excited
to further his love for wine with wineLAIR
DC and additional wineLAIR locations
planned across the country. Wright is also a
Certified Wine Professional (CWP), which
he received from the Culinary Institute of
America in St. Helena, California.
